Soul Time

17-Nov-2018

Time: Sunday 18 November from 10.20 am - 12 pm
Venue: The Henrietta Rose Room, 16 Bendooley Street, Bowral, adjacent from Bowral Library.

From the organisers:  "Are you looking for somewhere inspiring to spend your Sunday morning? Then come and join us for the next Soul Time in Bowral and enjoy the peaceful environs and the stunning programs offered by the Soul Time events.

Soul Time provides an opportunity to unite in a tranquil environment and reflect on inspiring themes and the common threads that tie us all together. It features live music, audio-visual pieces and readings from faiths and philosophers, authors, leaders and indigenous cultures, from all over the world.

Each month a new theme is chosen and a rich program is created: The theme for this month is “RESTORING THE BALANCE” - exploring how our spiritual wellbeing affects the equilibrium of our health and physical wellbeing.

Unfortunately, cellist Claudia Douglas was unable to play for us this month due to an injury, but we are delighted to welcome back popular Bowral musician, teacher and composer Louise Bell who has agreed to fill in and will present her ‘Music for the Soul’.

Louise will play folk harp, drones and percussion, embracing eclectic influences from sacred and folk to jazz and world music. A heartfelt and accomplished composer and performer, she has taught piano, harp, voice and percussion in the Southern Highlands since 1995.

Soul Time is a community service initiative of Wingecarribee Baha'i community. It is not a religious event. There are no talks or personalities, and there is never any one belief system in focus. It is an event for reflection and spiritual growth.

We couldn't be more proud of this incredible community initiative that has one simple goal - to provide a place where all can come and feel love and peace whilst exploring topics in a short program format that will truly uplift you.

This is a free event open to all, there is no need to book - it is friendly and casual, morning tea follows the program.
