Wishes for 2020..........

01-Jan-2020

Greetings & blessings on this New Year's Day 2020. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who visit this website! I haven't added news lately, as we've been travelling to celebrate the holiday season with family interstate, but back home now. It's been lovely, and also challenging as we drive through heatwave conditions, and cry during the reports of devastation from these catastrophic fires. So many are facing the heartbreaking loss of loved ones, animal companions, treasured possessions, homes, and businesses.

On a personal note, these tragedies reverberate to a day in November 1968, when my beloved father Leonard Bell died of a heart attack while assisting the fire fighting effort as a volunteer at Terrey Hills, Sydney. He was 45. Our mother Nan was left to raise me and my 4 sisters, which she did with strength and devotion. Mum passed over in 2015 at the age of 90. Bless you and thank you dear parents for your many qualities and rich legacy!

Talking of music.... I'm shifting some aspects this year. After 25 years of music teaching, and 12 of those at Powerpoint Music, Bowral, I've left Powerpoint. Much appreciation to Steve and Geralyn Cheers and all at PP! I'll still see a few students at home, but I've freed up days to expand composing, recording, performing, and Harp Therapy. I qualified as a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner in March. Currently playing for and with residents at Abbey House, Mittagong, I'm keen to bring this soothing and supportive intentional musical modality to more people in the areas of aged care, palliative care, and wherever I can be of benefit.

I wish you all a 2020 full of love, peace, healing and harmony. xx And here's hoping for beautiful, bountiful, quenching rain......
